Ester Salmán, MPH, joined Vistagen in May 2021 and currently serves as Vice President, Clinical Research. She brings extensive experience in steering the clinical, scientific, and strategic aspects of ongoing clinical programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. She joined Vistagen from Health + Hospitals, Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center where she held various positions of increasing responsibility focused on contributing valuable insights to ensure best practice standards of care while maintaining operational efficiency. Prior to her roles at Health + Hospitals, she held positions at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center; Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., Research Department; and New York State Psychiatric Institute - Columbia University. Additionally, Ms. Salmán is a Co-Founder of The Medical Research Network, LLC, a private clinical trials facility specializing in Phase 2 through Phase 4 studies in social anxiety disorder, as well as other anxiety and depressive disorders. Ms. Salmán has authored numerous publications throughout her career, many of which focus on pherines and their clinical development. Ms. Salmán holds an MPH from Capella University and a B.S. in Psychology from Manhattan College.
